Everyone wants to be successful in life. You can define success as what is important to you or what you value. One may want to succeed in business, marriage, health, family and one’s finances. Success is important. It is significant to feel the need of being successful in life. Wealth can not necessarily be the definition of success, but can be part of success. You can measure success by what is important to you. When you know what you term as important to you, next step to take place is figuring out how to succeed in it. Finally, you need to keep a vision on what you will like to become by writing down your findings.
What you value as an individual
Success depends on upon what you value as an individual. Example for a business man that makes
millions of money may be successful as per your perspective of succeeding in life or a wife and husband who are celebrating their 30th anniversary in marriage may be successful if you want to succeed in marriage. A person who doesn’t value marriage may say living with celebrating one’s 30th anniversary is not a success. I do not agree with that if the other person has different values on marriage. You can say the business person who made millions of dollars is not successful if you don’t value financial success. So success in life is based on establishing your values rather than other people’s value. It is important to know what your values hence you will be able to measure success.
Defining Success
The second fundamental step is defining success. It is a significant step for being successful. For creating the kind of life you want, it is important to build on what you value. Do not understate success on what you value. You can do this by writing a list to find out what or who is the most successful in everything you do and second on great deals or the things you value. Most successful people are willing to help others succeed also, so if you value commitment search on books or any information about that. They are all over in the bookstores or internet, read and know how they became to be successful.
Vision
Lastly keep a vision of what to accomplish and who you wish and want to become. The power of association makes successful people tend to flock together. Another reason is you will keep success in front of you when successful people surround you. If you want to succeed, you must put a mental vision or picture in your mind and often think about it as this principle cannot be overstated either.
